Bradgate Talks Community Talks We have a team of dedicated Community Champion volunteers who go out into the community to deliver talks to interested groups. Talks last for 45 minutes, and we have four presentations that share many of the stories about the Park. The Magic of Bradgate - A talk discussing various aspects of the Park including history, wildlife and the charity's work. The People of Bradgate - A gallery of colourful historical figures (including Lady Jane Grey) who lived in, owned or influenced the Park. We finish with a brief look at the park today. Managing the Wildlife of Bradgate Park - An introduction to the habitats and wildlife of Bradgate Park, highlighting the extensive work of the Rangers and volunteers who look after these habitats. The Veteran and Ancient Trees of Bradgate Park - A fascinating talk covering the importance of the nationally important collection of ancient and veteran oak trees at Bradgate Park. Covering all aspects, from habitats dependent on the trees, to the conservation and recording of this collection. Talks are £65 for a presentation (payable to the Bradgate Park Trust), and we ask your group to pay our volunteers directly their mileage at 45p mile. To book a talk for your group, please complete the online Community Champion booking form. Alternatively, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] or telephone 0116 236 2713.
