Newtown Linford Car Park (LE6 0HB)

The car park is managed via ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). Upon arrival, simply drive up to the entry barrier, where your vehicle’s registration will be automatically detected, allowing the barrier to lift and grant you access. After entering, you can park and enjoy your walk.

Before leaving, head to the pay stations located between the black wrought iron gates and the blue badge bays. Enter your vehicle registration, then pay for the duration of your stay. The pay stations accept both cash and card, including notes and offering change. Once payment is made, you can exit through the exit barrier.

For motorbikes, please use the side entrance and exit near the barriers. A parking donation can be made at the donation box located by the wooden pedestrian gate to the park.

Note: For a quicker and more convenient exit, the car park also accepts contactless payment at the exit barrier.

Please note that Blue Badge holders are not exempt from parking charges and must pay to park in all of our car parks. Designated Blue Badge bays are available near the park entrance at the Newtown Linford car park.

How to Display Your Pay & Display Ticket Correctly

If you purchase a Pay & Display ticket at our Hallgates, Hunts Hill, or Swithland Wood car parks, please ensure it is displayed face up on your windscreen. The registration number, date, and time must be clearly visible through the glass.

Before leaving your vehicle, double-check that your ticket is properly displayed and has not shifted or flipped.

🚨 Important: The Trust works with an external enforcement company. Failure to display your ticket correctly or failure to pay may result in a fine. Please ensure your ticket remains visible and contains the correct details. Our machines provide clear instructions for entering your information.

It’s the early 16th century. How can you get water to your new house at Bradgate, built well above the River Lin? Our walk through the park will explore the answer (which appears to flow uphill) and also some of the other ways water was used in the park. An opportunity for a β€˜walk in the park’ whilst learning about one of its little-known features.
