Leaving a Gift in A Will

Thank you for caring about Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood and the wildlife and heritage they support, and for caring enough to take this very important step of considering leaving a gift to The Bradgate Park Trust in your Will.

Of course, family and friends will be your first priority. However, you can also leave a gift to the next generation – and many generations to come – when you remember our work in caring for Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood.

New life in teh Park

No gift is too small to make a lasting difference! We are grateful for every act of generosity and every penny we receive. A small contribution could fund an educational visit, support volunteers to rebuild a crumbling stone wall, or fix a wooden bench allowing visitors to enjoy the spectacular landscapes and views.

Preserve the landscape of Bradgate

Every gift makes a difference and adding a gift to the Trust in your Will will not increase your costs now.

We have prepared a booklet with all the information you would need and we have tried to make giving a gift as simple as possible. However, we strongly recommend you contact a solicitor.

It is always helpful to have gifts in Wills that can be used wherever they are most urgently needed at the time they come to us. We also understand your wish for your gift to benefit a specific aspect of our work that is important to you.

By leaving a legacy to the Trust, you can make a real difference. These gifts, no matter how small, help us nurture and protect these wild spaces, so that local species can thrive and the historic landscapes are cared for and their stories told for people to enjoy and learn from.

If you would like to talk to someone about leaving a gift in your Will and your wishes, or to find out more information about the difference your gift can make, please contact us on 0116 236 2713.

The Leat at Bradgate Park Walk

It’s the early 16th century. How can you get water to your new house at Bradgate, built well above the River Lin? Our walk through the park will explore the answer (which appears to flow uphill) and also some of the other ways water was used in the park. An opportunity for a ‘walk in the park’ whilst learning about one of its little-known features.
