Bats of Bradgate Walk & Talk

Join us where we will start with a short talk about the 'Bats of Bradgate' in our meeting room before venturing outside to explore the immediate surroundings, including the Ruins grounds at dusk, in search of several different species of bats. 

• Bat detectors will be provided.
• Sturdy footwear & clothing appropriate for the weather is essential.
• Please wear long trousers as we may be walking in areas of long grass.
• Bring a torch.
• Minimum age is 10 yrs and must be accompanied by an adult.
• Sorry no dogs allowed.
• Maximum 20 people.

Meeting Point:

• Please meet outside the Deer Barns Visitor Centre located along the carriageway for a 7pm prompt start.

Parking:

• Please note that car parking fees apply and are not included in the ticket price. For car park charges, please click HERE. 
• Please park in our Hallgates Car Park (LE7 7HQ) on the left hand side of this car park as you enter [as the right hand side will be locked before you leave].
• Please allow 15-20 minutes to walk from the car park to the Visitor Centre & meeting point.

Other:

• This is an outdoor walk which will go ahead in all weather conditions, except in the case of extreme weather that threatens the safety of our staff and visitors.
• We are unable to make refunds for this event, except in the circumstance of the event being cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

Please be aware, we have volunteer photographers who record events on behalf of the Park, the images may be used for Park Archives and for future marketing purposes for example via our website and social media.
